MASSOB Dares Motorcycle Transport Union , Says Obiano Cannot Stop Us

                                              

Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), today threatened that the body might be compelled to carry- out a full scale reprisal action against MTUN field workers at Awkuzu community in Oyi Local government area, if the intimidation and harassment of some members of MASSOB does not stop forthwith.

Speaking, the personal assistant to the zonal leader on “internal” security matters, Rsm Joseph Nwafor said MASSOB was particularly irked that motorcycle transport union of Nigeria (MTUN),Awkuzu unit chairman, Mr. Chinedu Onuorah usually force MASSOB members to pay ticket fees, Okada emblems, and obtain their ID cards or be handed over to the naval team of the joint task force, to face bodily torture.

Our non-violence activities should not be misconstrued to mean cowardice. MASSOB recalls that several of its members including Mr. John Iganga who had just been released from Awka prison also received physical torture while in the custody of the naval men stationed at Awkuzu junction, not  that John was arrested for an offence but because Awkuzu unit chairman Mr. Chinedu Onuorah took him to them.

MASSOB added that since a true freedom fighter can not be intimidated, has directed its members who are Okada operators to always wear Biafra insignia, such as emblems and cap, pay their Biafra income tax.

This he said, Biafra flag or membership ID card is not arms or ammunition and therefore can not constitute an offence.

He further challenged state motorcycle transport union chairman, Chief Afam OKoye to be vehement in protesting the oppression of citizens of Ndigbo and desist from collaborating with our enemies in the harassment and murder of MASSOB members. Noting that the statement credited to Awkuzu unit chairman Mr. Chinedu Onuorah that Gov. Willie Obiano has mobilized them to do whatever they are doing on MASSOB, can not even stop us.
