Peace Returns To Mbosi , Ihiala Local Government After 16 Years Crisis Over Regent; Appoints Palace Secretary, Inaugurates Council


                                   
A 16 year old crisis that rocked Mbosi community, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State, is said to be over resulting in the inauguration of Oluoha in Council by the regent, Barrister Okey Onuakalusi and the subsequent appointment of  a palace secretary, Ichie Emma N. Adiole, a lecturer at the Federal College of Education (Technical) Umunze, by the  Oluoha in Council.


Consequently, the regent, Barrister Okey Onuakalusi, will now pilot the affairs of the community for the next three years.

The Regent while inaugurating the council urged the members to join hands in moving the community forward and prayed for peace, unity and harmony to prevail in Mbosi.

He assured the people that he would accommodate all parties, irrespective of their stands before the court decision of March 28th 2014.

The council commended the Regent for his doggedness and congratulated him over his success in the court. They also commended him for efforts to promote the culture of the people.

Speaking, the former Palace Secretary Ichie Emmanuel Nwagbara thanked the members of Oluoha-in- Council for giving him the opportunity to serve in that capacity.

He assured the Oluoha-in-Council that he would continue to play advisory and fatherly role to ensure  the success of the Regent and members of the Oluoha- in- Council.

Shortly after the inauguration, the Regent and some members of the Oluoha in council paid a courtesy call on the chairman of Ihiala local government traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Highness, Cosmas Okechuwku Oluoha xvi who also is the traditional ruler of Ihiala.

While at the Oluoha’s palace in Ihiala, the Regent of Mbosi community introduced members of his entourage and informed Igwe Okechukwu that they were there to appreciate him in view of the fact that people of Ihiala and Mbosi have been having close and friendly relationship and more so to formally let him know that Prince Okey Onuakalusi has been appointed the regent of Mbosi.

In his response, the Oluoha xvi of Ihiala welcomed the Mbosi visitors and advised them to forget the past and think of how to move the community forward.

He said that he would consult the other traditional rulers of the local government area to deliberate over the Regent’s position.

Igwe Okechukwu expressed happiness that Mbosi people have resolved their rulership crisis.

The 82 year old academic and  traditional ruler advised Mbosi people to always serve God in spirit and in truth and to change their attitude and live in love and peace.

He called on the Regent to take proper care of his siblings and provide them with family comfort.

Speaking, Engr Chukwudum Onyimmadu thanked Oluoha xvi of Ihiala for his kindness and wisdom counsel and assured that Prince Okey Onuakalusi would carry the community to the promised land.
