President Goodluck Jonathan, was Thursday in an enlarged crucial national security meeting with Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs, State governors and heads of government agencies.
The meeting held at the Presidential Villa, was still going on at the time of filing this report.
Present at the meeting were Vice President Namadi Sambo, President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor and Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III.
Governors at the meeting include Theodore Orji (Abia), Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Kashim Shettima (Borno), Ramalan Yero (Kaduna), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Abdulazeez Yari ((Zamfara), Seidu Dakingari (Kebbi) Tanko Al-makura (Nasarawa) and Martin Elechi (Ebonyi).
Others include Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara), Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Willie Obiano (Anambra) Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Isa Yuguda (Bauchi), Olusegun Mimiko (Ondo), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe), Ibrahim Shema (Katsina), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), Sullivan Chime (Enugu), Idris Wada (Kogi) and Acting Governor of Taraba State, Umar Garba.
Governors of Oyo, Imo, Jigawa, Rivers, Ogun Kano, Yobe, Edo and Plateau states were represented by their deputies.
Also in attendance were National Security Adviser ( NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd); the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar and Director General of State Security Service (SSS), Ita Ekpeyong
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim and Chief of Staff to the President, Jones Arogbofa, also attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, President Goodluck Jonathan Wednesday hailed General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), for his very statesman-like views on terrorism and insecurity in Nigeria.
Buhari had condemned the activities of terror group, Boko Haram, calling on Nigerians to come together and fight the insurgency until they are defeated and exterminated.
The commendation was contained in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati.
According to the statement, "President Jonathan believes that the position taken by General Buhari is that of a true patriot, respected former Head of State, revered elder statesman and nationalist.
