Joe Jideofor From Botswana Writes Okelo On Ngige's Desperation

The electoral act empowers INEC, and i repeat INEC, not APC, not Dr.
Ngige, not Dr. Chike Obidigbo and not even president Goodluck Jonathan
but only INEC to prosecute electoral offenders including but not
limited to multiple registrations.

It simply means that INEC would use its voters records to detect
those who registered more than once and subsequently use same to
convince a judge of competent jurisdiction to jail, fine or even
disqualify a candidate.

The same very INEC not only cleared Gov. Obiano to contest the
November elections but equally handed the voters registrar to all the
political parties for verifications and there was nowhere in the
records where Gov Obiano's name appeared twice.

APC lawyer, Festus Keyamo approached Abuja high court just before the
election, asking the court to compel INEC and IGP to prosecute Gov
Obiano for multiple registration and the same court wasted no time in
striking the case out for lack of merit.

You conveniently mentioned Otuocha high court judgement but cleverly
avoided mentioning the subsequent adjudication of the same matter by
the Abuja high court.

Dr Ngige being a very desperate politician and also a bad loser is not
asking the elections tribunal to install him as the winner of the
election because he know very well that he did not win more than his
Idemmili constituency but to have the entire elections cancelled in
order to please him. If this is not absolute madness then tell me what
it is.

The pertinent question here is when will an election be accepted as
free and fair in Africa in general and Nigeria in particular?

Five years ago there was a parliamentary by election in one of the
constituencies in Zimbabwe as a result of death.

Barely a week before the election, the opposition MDC party leader
Morgan Tswangarai called a world press conference where he accused the
ruling Zanu PF party and electoral umpire of massive fraud and
manipulations and went on to declare that his party would not accept
the outcome of the election, but when the result eventually came out
and the opposition candidate won, the same idiot quickly and
shamelessly made a u- turn by declaring the same allegedly fraudulent
elections free and fair to the chagrin of everyone.

That is typical African politicians for you, foolish, shameless and
absolutely deceptive.

Okelo, this election stands and Governor Obiano remains the Governor
of Anambra state till 2018, therefore it is prudent for you to advice
your principals, Dr Ngige and APC party to stop this legal madness and
join hands with Governor Obiano in moving our own Anambra state to
another level.

Barely one month of Obiano's administration, he has unleashed a great
wind in the mould of tsunami that has swept away all criminal elements
that had been terrorizing Onitsha, Nnewi and the surrounding towns
that made the people in these areas to now begin to ask themselves
where were these type of leaders when Anambra state were in hands of
political criminals for many years in the past.

So far the appointment of the commissioners who were described as some
of the finest in Anambra state by His Excellency Gov. Willie Obiano
and the just concluded security summit, the first of its kind in the
annals and history of Anambra state points to the direction that our
children would eventually have a better Anambra state to live and be
proud of.

So lets all join hands together with the governor and his team to
achieve this great feat.

We should be able to criticize him when he falters and commend him
when he performs well, that is what democracy is all about.

It shall be well with Anambra State

Daalu ni
