President Jonathan Confused Over Reps Offodile, Ezenwa , Ambassador Ugokwe ,Fomer Governor Obi, Akunyili, Chikelu Who To Make Minister From Anambra

                

 Tension is the best word to describe the situation in the Anambra state ahead of the appointment of a Minister from Anambra state by President Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR, to replace the former Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah.

Several groups including Anambra Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are falling over one another to produce a replacement for her while others are have gone a step further by presenting names for consideration.

But in a press statement in Nnewi by Anambra Concerned Elders made available to the Nation and signed by the Chairman of the Group,  Chief Linus Ezeukwu, the group advised the President to go for the best among equals in Anambra state rather than settle for the worse candidate under party solidarity.

The group said they were aware that Anambra PDP had submitted the names of Barr. Chudi Offodile, Dr. Jerry Ugokwe, Okey Ezenwa, among others for consideration, but insisted there are better people from the State that would add value to governance than the trio whose antecedents are known to the people of the state.
The group advised President Jonathan to ignore those that did not in any way offer him support at his trial moments and during elections only to   troupe out now to share "the booty of appointment" in the name of party politics but to go beyond party politics to get the best hands to fill his cabinet for the buck stops at his table.

Part of their release reads: let us face it, Barr. Chuck Offodile achieved nothing in the National Assembly; Dr. Jerry Ugokwe was recalled as the Nigerian Ambassador to Austria, while Okey Ezenwa is not known for anything of note. How can these people be considered over and above tested hands such as Chief Chukwuemeka Chikelu,  Prof  Dora Akunyili and Chief Peter Obi, the immediate past Governor of Anambra State?"

The Group singled out Governor Peter Obi for the President to consider, arguing that he is consistent in character and can be depended upon  in terms of loyalty, commitment to duty and hunger for success. They pointed to what they called his "glorious era as the Governor of Anambra State", where they said he ended up with close to N90billion for the state in savings,  in spite of the infrastructural revolution, building of human resource, institution and maintenance of peace, as well as  excellent relationship of many organizations  with the State which he instituted and maintained.
