The Anambra state chapter of Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, (CNPP)
yesterday challenged Governor Willie Obiano to ensure that his Agricultural Vocational Initiative and educational
pursuit for the state does not not end on papers.
In a communique made available to the Nation in Onitsha after its Executive meeting at Parktonia hotel, Awka, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary,Hon Kate Okafor and Sir Peter Okala respectively said it would be lamentable if Governor Obiano does not pursue his programes vigourously to actualize them.
Part of the statement read thus: "It is a thing of joy that Anambra state
is no longer in the news for wrong reasons and we are also delighted that the
new Governor has started on a strong note by initiating agricultural vocational
institutions across the zones and local government areas of the state, a
programme if properly pursued will bring back Ndi Anambra to the days of
glory"
"With this human development initiative which has been lacking in the state, the 23 registered political parties under CNPP will give full support to this present administration for the right step in the right direction to engage our youths meaningfully instead of importing arms and ammunition into the state to fight crime. We viewed this step by Governor Obiano as a master stroke towards ending all forms of criminality across the state".

Okafor and Okala further expressed optimism that the agricultural vocational initiative of Governor Obiano would among other things put food on the tables of the people of the state, engage the jobless youths as well as fight crime and criminality in the state.
On education policy of the new administration in the state, CNPP also lauded Obiano for re-enacting the zeal in educational pursuit which the group held was the traditional life of Ndi Anambra, adding that with the new policy, crime would be fought to a standstill through education and meaningful engagement of the youths.
They attributed the peaceful hand over ceremony in
the state to political and economic stability as a result of solid foundation
laid by the former Governor, Chief Peter Obi and applauded Governor Willie
Obiano on his four C’s of taking Anambra to the next level.
They as well congratulated him on the successful
swearing in as the 7th democratically elected Governor of Anambra state.
