Special Adviser to the
President on Inter-party matters, Senator Ben Obi yesterday said that Anambra
State was reaping a lot of dividends from the cordial relationship between
Governor Obi’s administration and the Federal Government.
He commended Obi for placing the state before selfish gains hence
the relationship with the Presidency which has yielded much result for the
future of the state.
On his part the former Governor of the State, Chief Chukwuemeka
Ezeife said that what Governor Peter Obi had done in Anambra State was
equivalent to a miracle.
He assured that nobody
would reverse the trend of the massive infrastructural development going on in
the commercial city of the state Onitsha and other parts.
Also speaking, a former Minister of Health, Prof. ABC Nwosu said
the Governor had justified the confidence reposed in him by delivery on all
tenants of good governance in all sectors.
Prof. Nwosu commended Governor Obi for his commitment
towards achieving the MDGs as well as huge investment in the Health Sector.
He said he was among those that conscripted him for the
governorship of Anambra State and that having served the State very well, they
would conscript him again at the Federal level.
They spoke when they and other stakeholders accompanied Governor
Obi to inspect the ongoing Onitsha Shopping Mall.
Earlier, Governor Peter Obi had reassured that the shopping Mall
project at Onitsha would be completed according to specifications.
Governor Obi expressed
satisfaction with, the completed dual carriage way into the mall, the
pace and quality of work done so far and disclosed that the shopping Mall had
the potential to provide initial three hundred direct jobs and much more
indirect jobs.
He said the State
Government was sustaining upgrading of infrastructure in various parts of the
town and environs to serve the influx of investments in the area. The
Governor expressed confidence that the incoming administration would sustain
tempo of development and urged stakeholders to give it necessary support and
encouragement.
