Obi Swears In Ten New Permanent Secretaries With Ferdinand Obi Leading The Pack

Ten newly appointed Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service have been sworn-in.  The ceremony took place at the Governor’s Lodge. One of the Permanent Secretaries, Mrs. Tina Emekekwue was also appointed the Solicitor General of the State.  Others sworn in were, Mr. Harry Udu, Mrs. Ngozi Onu, Comrade Leonard Imoka, Mr. Douglas Mba, Mr. Emenike Ezinando, Dr. P.O. Nwadukwe, Dr. M.P. Obiegbu, Mr. Ferdinard Obi and Mrs. Victoria Mgbemena.

Governor Obi charged them to use their new offices to contribute in consolidating on the achievement  already on the ground.  He reminded them of the need to make decisions that promote the collective interest of the State to sustain the present high tempo of development and Status of the State.  Earlier while administering the Oath of Office and Allegiance, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Peter Afuba said the appointment of the Permanent Secretaries was in line with Powers of the Governor as contained in sec 208  of the 1999 Constitution as amended.

Responding, one of the new Permanent Secretaries, Mr. Harry Udu thanked God for using the Governor as an instrument to elevate them.  Mr Udu assured that they would assist him to complete his vision for the State, and help the in-coming administration to excel.

In their separate reactions, two of the new Permanent Secretaries, Mr. Ferdinand Obi and Mr. Emenike Ezinando thanked the Governor for giving them the opportunity to serve at this capacity, assuring that they would work hard to meet the expectations of government and people of the State.
