5,000 MASSOB Members Defect To Igbo Youths Movement



                                    


There was revolution in the ranks of Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, yesterday as no fewer than 500 members of MASSOB allegedly defected to Igbo Gadinma Youth Movement (I Y M).


Some of the defectors wore white jersey and black trousers to match while others MASSOB uniform. They were led by Emeka Okeke.

They alleged that their defection became necessary in view of the high handedness of the MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike in piloting the affairs of the movement.

 The defectors had during procession to register their presence expressed satisfaction with the administration of Governor Peter Obi stressing that enable to develop the state through his ANIDS programme.

They expressed optimism that the governor-elect, Chief Willie Obiano would continue from where he stopped pointing out that I Y M, would continue to support the incoming administration of Obiano.

 The drama played out at the annual Igu Aro Nri festival of the monarch, Eze Obidiegwu Onyeso, Anambra State.

Okeke said: ‘’we recognize the APGA leadership under Chief Victor Umeh until his tenure expires and we express our gratitude to APGA for electing Mr. Peter obi as the new APGA Board of trustee Chairman”.


‘’South –East Governors should seriously engage the Igbo youths in skill acquisition training and small scale businesses, the untapped talents in areas of sports, creativity and security intelligence in Igbo youths are rotting away daily”.

“Drug abuses have devastated the lives of many idle Igbo youths.
We appeal to the incoming Governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano to concentrate much on youth development.
