Uche Ekwunife Event Center, Saint Lawrence Chapel inaugurated in Awka

The Saint Lawrence Chapel and Senator Uche Ekwunife's Event Centre Awka have been inaugurated.

The dedication programme, officiated by Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, attracted government functionaries,
clerics, traditional rulers, politicians and people from various walks of life.

Delivering a sermon, Bishop Ezeokafor who commended Senator Ekwunife, for the chapel, challenged Christians to live and work for the good of others.
The Catholic Prelate reminded Christians to use their opportunities on earth to build for God and serve him with a sincere heart, charging people not to exclude God from their lives.
In her speech, Senator Ekwunife disclosed that her plan was to contribute to the economic growth of the state and provide employment for Anambra indigenes while enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the state capital.
She recalled that when her father passed away her mother converted the family garage into a church noting that this singular act of her mother attracted a lot of blessing to her family.
Senator Ekwunife explained that the inclusion of Saint Lawrence Chapel in the design of Senator Uche Ekwunife Event ' Centre was her humble contribution towards meeting the spiritual needs of Ndi Anambra and afford them the opportunity to key into the blessing that comes with praising and glorifying God.
Also at the event were political bigwigs including, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Labour and Employment Minister, Senator Chris Ngige, Former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, among others.
In their goodwill messages, Governor Okorocha and the Minister for Labour, Senator Ngige, lauded Senator Ekwunife’s efforts in building the chapel and encouraged her to sustain it.
