Imo indigenes agree to support APGA Governorship Aspirant Frank Nneji OON, if APGA gives him ticket

Chidimma Cynthia Igbokwe and Jamie Chukwuemelie Enechukwu in this report for www.odogwublog.com said that should Frank Nneji OON emerges the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the forthcoming Governorship election in Imo State, then he is automatically the next Governor , so said representatives of Imo people during the Rebuild Imo Group Corporate Media interaction at the conference hall of Mayfair Hotel and Suites Egbu Road Owerri , Imo State.




The hall was filled by the Academics led by Associate Prof Joe Onyeka while Imo state chamber of commerce, mines and Agriculture , traders, artisans , professionals, women group, youths and students to mention but a few were duly represented.
In his remarks, the Co-ordinator and Administrative Secretary of "Rebuild Imo Group", Mr Brent Akomas Chukwudi explained that Mr Frank Nneji has carefully identified the problems and challenges of Imo as a state with solutions for each identified challenge and problem. He therefore called on the people to key into Nneji’s strategic agenda to rebuild the State.
As well a seasoned journalist, Chief Fidel Onyeneke while testifying on the personality of Nneji , appealed to God to remove all obstacles on the way of Nneji being elected as the next Governor of Imo state as he remained the best Aspirant with plans to turn Imo state around.
A non-party partisan and a crack media professional in Imo state , Mr Chidi Nkwokpara traced Nneji’s long term desire to make Imo state better by his actions and inactions and said if he emerges candidate of APGA , that could only mean that he is the next Governor of Imo state  as he has vintage position to reposition the state than any of the other aspirants having spent years of his life in the state.
On their part, Mr George Emeaghara, and Honorable Calistus Duru extoled the sterling qualities of Mr Frank Nneji , OON , insisting that if given the mandate Imo state would be better for it as he has the capacity and tenacity to govern Imo state.

As well , the Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Community Liaison, Mr Nnanna Nzewi who said that Mr Nneji has all it takes to rebuild Imo State, pointed out that as a private person , he coughs out over N91 Million every month to pay salaries alone and has over Two thousand staff, probably the next highest employer of Labour in Imo state after the state government.

The Imo state Governorship Aspirant  under APGA, Mr Frank Nneji, OON in speech earlier while presenting his ‘’lets rebuild Imo agenda’’ , said rebuilding Imo State is a task that must be accomplished if given the opportunity by Imo people.
He appreciated the solidarity and appealed to them to continue doing the needful until victory is assured for APGA and Imo state electorates.


The aspirant who is from Ezuhu Nguru in Abo Mbaise , Imo state was born on 30th April ,1960 and is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Manging Director of ABC Transport Plc (Associated Bus Company) founded in 1993.
Nneji, a former President of Owerri Chamber of Commerce, Industry , Mines and Agriculture, pointed out that Imo State deserves better in administration and governance , hence  his vision and mission for Imo is to rebuild a State where citizens will have a true sense of pride and residents have the opportunity to actualize their dreams.
Emphasizing on his core values ‘’RISE’’ comprising of Responsibility, Integrity, Service , Entrepreneurship, Execution/Excellence , the aspirant paid tribute to late former Governor Sam Mbakwe for his legacies in Imo State which he said his government if elected would revisit and improve on while asserting its own legacy projects.
Mr Nneji regretted the high level of insecurity, poor infrastructure, poor healthcare facilities and litany of abandoned projects in Imo State, adding that time has come for the elites to take active part in enthroning the government in Imo state for the benefit of the masses.

The Gubernatorial aspirant outlined his economic blue print for the State, containing his vision and mission achievable through economic pillars and economic enablers through which Imo would be leading state in Agriculture and light industries as well as the Hub for entertainment and conferences.

He said he is poised to salvaging the state from what he called prolonged bad leadership even as he denounced the allegation that he is being sponsored by the Imo state Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha. He added that he has the capacity to run his moderate ambition to deliver Imo state.
Meanwhile, Mr. Frank Nneji has obtained his nomination and expression of interest form at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

“My focus is on the economy of the state. For many years no government has been able to focus on the economy of Imo. We have quite a lot of unemployed people in the state. Of course Imo state is one of the states with high literacy level, having many people coming out from school every year. You need to cater for this people. We have a beautiful central location that could make Imo state the commercial hub to South South and South East region but no government in the past has been able to take advantage of that. This is what my government would focus on in 2019” he said.
He expressed optimism that despite the number of people in the race for Imo governorship in APGA platform, he would emerge the flag bearer if the party at the general election.
