representing Awka North Constituency, Prince Boniface Okonkwo’s free medical
outreach for his constituents was not accepted by politicians in Awka North.
They claimed that Okonkwo has not done anything for
Ndi Awka North but himself wondering why he just woke up to do medical outreach
probably he wants to return to the House of Assembly. They wondered why a
medical mission for 10 communities should be centered in Amansea.

then refused to present their views in details.
However, the free medi-care of Hon Okonkwo which was
held at Amansea Civic Center attracted pregnant women, the aged and youths of
the community.
Speaking while flagging off the exercise, the
benefactor, Prince Okonkwo explained that over ten thousand persons living with
different ailments will benefit from the programme aimed at meeting the health
needs of his constituents, especially the indigent and less privileged ones.
Prince Okonkwo who revealed that the one week
programme will cover all the communities that make up Awka North Constituency
added that it will also feature distribution of mosquito nets and drugs to
pregnant women to enable them deliver their babies in good health condition.
The Chairman on the occasion, Chief Emenike Anaekwe
stated that he decided to identify with the Lawmaker in his drive to give his
people quality medicare since there cannot be any productivity in a community
where the health of the people is in serious jeopardy.
In his speech, the President General, Amansea
Progressive Union, Chief Ozo Okonkwo lauded the initiative, describing the
benefactor as a blessing to the people of Awka North Constituency.
In an interview, some of the beneficiaries including
Mrs. Ngozi Ikeanyina and Mr.Josiah Obidimma thanked Prince Okonkwo for his magnanimity.
