ABS appeals to Obosi Central and Ozalla landlords for partnership --set to graduate 35 students from Academy

Managing Director and Chief Executive of Anambra State Broadcasting
Service (ABS) Awka, Nze Uche Nworah weekend led members of his
management and staff on familiarization tour of host communities of the
station, appealing for continued patronage and partnership.
Expected
at the ceremony are creative economy giants such as Chief Pete Edochie
(MON), Bob-Manuel Udokwu and others. Mr C.Don Adinuba, the Commissioner
for Information and Public Enlightenment in Anambra state, Mr
Bonaventure Enemali, the Commissioner for Youth Entrepreneurship and
Creative Economy and several other government officials are also
expected.
Nze
Nworah who led a team of Heads of Units, ABS Onitsha on a visit to the
Ozalla and Awada Obosi Central Landlords Association Headquarters said
the visit was to partner with them in their various businesses as well
as maintaining a good relationship that will stand the test of time.
The
MD who was represented by the Head of Station ABS Onitsha, Mrs Chinwe
Chuka- Obumse, encouraged them to always patronize ABS in terms of
advertising their activities in the establishment while promising them
full coverage of their engagements.
The Management used the occasion to solicit their assistance for the up keep of the station in order to keep ABS afloat.
In
his remarks, the Head of Commercial Department Mr. Val Oguejiofor who
thanked members of the Association for the warm reception accorded them,
pleaded with them to always patronize ABS by buying airtimes and
featuring in their programmes.
Adding her voice,
the Assistant Chief Editor News Department of the station, Mrs Miriam
Chukwuma thanked them for the harmonious relationship and promised them
effective coverage of their various activities for the ABS News.
In their separate responses, the two Presidents General of both Ozalla
and Awada, Chiefs Emeka Eseotu and Paul Chinedu thanked the ABS team for
the visit, and promised to partner with the establishment for optimal
performance while pleading with the Management for sustained cordial
relationship.
Mr. Ignatius Ezekwesili, Head of
Engineering department and Mr. Goddy Unigwe, Head of Camera Unit were
among the team that visited the Associations.
Meanwhile,
the ABS Film Academy, the learning academy of Anambra Broadcasting
Service (ABS) will graduate its first set of students before the end of
July 2018.
A
statement from the Rector of the academy, and the MD/CEO of Anambra
Broadcasting Service (ABS), Nze Uche Nworah said the ceremony will take
place at the academy building, within the ABS premises, near Aroma
junction, along Enugu/Onitsha expressway, Awka.
According
to Nworah, "We are delighted to be graduating the pioneer students of
the ABS Film Academy 3- months certificate course in film making and
broadcast journalism. The 35 students have put in their best during
their stay at the academy and we are proud of what they have been able
to accomplish".
"With
this, our goal of bridging the knowledge and practical skills gap for
aspiring filmmakers and broadcast journalists in South East Nigeria is
gradually being met. Already, we have started enrolling students for the
August 2018 intake and we call on young people living in Anambra state
and surrounding states to take advantage of the opportunity".
