300 level student shot dead in Imo

A 300 level student, in Computer science, of Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri, Mr. Caleb Chinedu Joseph, was reportedly shot dead by cultists at the school gate.

The incident said to have happened Tuesday night where the suspected cult gang believed to be a rival group attacked Caleb, and shot him after he was clubbed with weapons.

The Imo state Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, Mr. Andrew Enwerem, Wednesday while confirming the incident said: Cult related activities is suspected.” 

He went further to say: “The police control room was alerted and when they got there they saw a body of the young boy lying on the ground.

“He was rushed to the hospital upon medication he was confirmed dead. Enwerem further said that, “Cult related activities is suspected and investigation is in progress. 

“However, the commissioner of Police, Dazuki Galadanchi, has ordered for an investigation into the matter and has activated the tactical security surveillance to ensure that the culprits are apprehended.”
