Governor Obiano set to honour Anambra giants

Call for nominations closes on Saturday 30th June, 2018, by 12 midnight Nigeria Time.

Government of Anambra State in collaboration with Generations for Peace Foundation is calling for nominations to the 2018 Anambra Hall of Fame Awards in recognition and honor of individuals that have made significant contributions to Community Development, Charitable, Business and Educational sector of the society yet have never lost sight of responding to the needs of their Communities. The Project is to commemorate World Charity Day in Anambra State.

Guidelines for nominations

The objective of these criteria is to facilitate nominations, bearing in mind that the final decision about whether to bestow an award rests with Governor of Anambra State.

Awards

21 eminent personalities from 21 Local Government of Anambra state and five Organization/institution will be selected for 2018 Anambra Hall of Fame Awards.

Publicity of call for nominations

Anambra Hall of Fame Award will be catalyzed with a wide publicity in National Daily Newspapers, Anambra State Government Website, Generations for Peace Foundation Website, Bill Boards placed in some Strategically Locations across the state, Televisions and Radios Broadcast.

Award Selection

The award vetting will be determined by special member evaluation committee of knowledgeable professionals across academic and civil society sector. They will examine the nominations and will select a candidate from each Local Government based on merit.

While making the shortlist the committee may agree on a set of short listing criteria. Nepotism and favoritism are not allowed.

Announcement of awardees

The Committee 2018 Anambra Hall of Fame Award will announce the awardees in Anambra Hall of Fame Initiative Web 30 Days before August 1st 2018
