UNIZIK Business School: 66,000 Projects abandoned in Nigeria…….Prof Moghalu ----15,000 of it in South-East
Delivering a lecture as a Guest Speaker during the Dr
Emmanuel Egbogah Budget Roundtable organized by the UNIZIK Business School (UBS)
at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Auditorium, Awka , Prof Moghalu lamented that
Nigeria has so many visionless leaders taking critical decisions for the
generality of the masses.
On the projects abandoned by the Federal government in Nigeria,
Prof Moghalu announced that Sixty Six thousand (66,000) projects are abandoned
across Nigeria while Fifteen Thousand of these projects are abandoned in the
South East.
He lamented that only 20 percent to 30 percent of the Budget
is spent yearly even as he advocated for Nigeria’s restructuring based on
regions. While announcing that Nigeria is a broken country, Moghalu said the
concept of zoning which is not even constitutionally has derailed the fortunes
of Nigeria hence Nigeria he said is not a nation but a country and urged all to
join forces with him to build Nigeria to become a nation.
He regretted the
perennial failure of budgeting process in the country saying that Nigeria
needed three things to bounce back which is to make it a nation, fight poverty which
has stolen the country’s democracy and restore the dignity in the world as
greatest African nation.
Prof Moghalu even called for a revolution in voting pattern in
2019 for life to be meaningful for its citizens , warning on the dangers of remaining
with the old order. He said he would announce his political platform in three
weeks time.
He announced that he supported enhancement of Education and
investment on people instead of spending unnecessarily.
