www.odogwublog.com reports that crown Prince, Rtn Obi Orizu has been installed the first
president of Nnewi Urban chapter of Rotary Club in a ceremony that
attracted the 'who is who' in the industrial town and beyond.
The installation ceremony took place during the inauguration of the chapter last weekend.
In
his speech at the occasion, the district governor of Rotary Club 9142,
Rtn Emma Akpeh who congratulated the new president and his members said
that Rotary Club is not a social club but a service organization.
He said the organization is also into the business of building characters and putting up appearances in war torn communities.

Akpeh commended the Nnewi Urban chapter of the Rotary Club for the
developmental projects they have initiated and executed which has put
them ahead of many old chapters.

Prince Obi Orizu in his inaugural speech said that the chapter has
taken off from scratch and has been able to record some modest
achievements in the little time the chapter came into existence.
He
noted that the projects earlier commissioned in the day were in fulfillment of needs recognized in those places by the newly inaugurated
chapter.
The Crown
Prince thanked the individuals who supported the Rotary Club, Nnewi
Urban chapter to deliver their mandate of presenting those projects to
needed communities.
The
highlight of the occasion was the inauguration of the 2017/2018 board
of directors while six personalities got Rotary Club's community award.
