www.odogwublog.com reports that the
new Police Commissioner for Imo State, Dasuki Galadinchi has resumed
duties even as he warned politicians in the State to be upright because
there will not be any sacred cows.
Galadinchi made the disclosure while speaking with newsmen at the command's headquarters, Owerri, the Imo State capital.
Galadinchi
faulted the National Assembly on the vote of no confidence passed on
the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, saying the IGP is an
excellent officer and top on his game.
He said
"the truth is that if I did not see it on television, I would not have
believed it. The performance of the IGP is never in doubt, we have
statistics to show. He is open, transparent, and gives a listening ear
to everyone. His is an excellent officer".
Galadinchi
disclosed that his style of policing will be community policing;
including eminent persons forum; partnership; and respect for human
rights.
He
said "inline with IGP's community policing strategies, we will
corporate with stakeholder, including sister security Agencies and
community leaders to deliver effectively.
According to him, Imo people should be assured of the safety and security of lives and property.
