www.odogwublog.com reports that the National Orientation Agency, Anambra State Directorate on Monday carried out a one day security sensitization campaign to Ekwulobia Motor Park, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra state.
The Security Awareness Campaign was organized
for the traders, motorists, tricyclists and motorcyclists in the area.
State Director, NOA, Awka, Barrister Charles
Nwoji, charged the people to avoid predictability and ensure that they maintain
a simple life style by being vigilant at all times, as well as strive towards
knowing their neighbours.
Barrister Nwoji, who warned the participants
not to give unnecessary information to the public, also told them to avoid
keeping late nights and do report any suspicious movements to security outlets
around them.
The Director, who equally spoke on the
dangers of using telephones at the scene of bomb explosion, called on the
leadership of parks in the state to install measures in the parks with a view
to ensuring adequate security in the parks and environs, stressing that the
people should not hesitate to report unattended bags to the appropriate
authorities.
He gave out the Anambra State Emergency
number and other security numbers to the participants. The numbers are 0809031930--State

The
Director, highlighted the inherent dangers of drug abuse in the society and
advised the electorate in the area who have registered to take the advantage of
the second phase of the on-going continuous voter registration exercise by INEC
to register and obtain their cards.
On his part, the Deputy Director,
Programmes, NOA, Sir, Joseph Uchendu, challenged Nigerians to key into the
security programme of the Federal Government in order to building a crime free
Nigeria nation, adding that the issue of security of the country required every
hands to be deck.
Also, the Chairman, Anambra State Government
park, Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area, Mr. Ebele Nnopu, who was
represented by Mr. Charles Okeke, thanked the leadership of NOA for organizing
the enlightenment programme, assuring that they would not delay in giving useful
information to the police and other security agents in the state with a view to entrenching a well secured Nigerian
society.
