Biafra Shadow government demands boycott of 2019 General Elections , other programmes

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Biafra Shadow government yesterday rose from its emergency meeting in  Owerri to demand for a referendum even as it charged Biafrans to henceforth shun the 2019 general elections and all other programmes organized by the Nigerian government.

This includes 2018 Independence day celebration; democracy day; children's day celebration; and patronization of cow meat and cow produce.

Speaking to newsmen in Owerri after the meeting, head of the Mobilization directorate in the Biafra Shadow government, Comrade Initimi Brown said Ndigbo are demanding for a referendum and not restructuring or election.

Initimi, who is also a representative of Biafra Regional Emancipation Movement (The BSG) said Biafrans no longer have hope or believe in Nigeria, saying bloodshed has continued unabated in Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Kaduna, and Plateau States while the Nigerian President is busy attending weddings and junketing around the globe.

He stated that the only solution lies in the conduct of referendum even as he called on all pro-Biafra groups to sensitize their members on the need, saying religious leaders should help to educate their members on the need.

The Biafra Shadow government member assured the traditional rulers that they will no longer be under the whims and caprices of the government of the day.

Further, Initimi charged pro-ethnic groups in Biafra to jettison the idea of restructuring "because nothing useful will come out of it", noting that last September 2017, the Biafra Shadow government ordered for the boycott of the Independence ceremony and it was obeyed. 

Speaking on the elections, Initimi said "the manoeuvres in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is clear that 2019 elections will neither be fair nor fare".

According to him, the group is not sure if Nigeria is practicing democracy or just claiming to be, saying those in authority destroy peoples properties with no compensation while Governors siphon state funds into private funds.

Initimi lamented that Governors of the southern states are overstepping their bounds as one is projecting his son in-law to succeed him.

According to him, places of worship have been desecrated at will by the so-called Nigerian politicians, while politics has become a thing of the absurd.

He explained that the shadow government has queried the rationale of continuous consumption of cow meat and cow produce from the north saying " it has become a poisoned chalice " by Biafrans.

Further, he said "why do Biafrans continue to patronize those who kill their men and rape their women", adding that " they can no longer entrust their lives to Nigeria government and her security personnel".

The Biafra Shadow government regretted that while the Nigerian government has made importation of stockfish very difficult, it has made the importation of cow feed open and easy.

Initimi accused the federal government of going after unarmed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) with the military but looking the other way as Fulani militia kill innocent villagers in Benue, Taraba, Plateau, and Kaduna States whose only crime " Is that they are indigenous farmers on their land, that their ancestors bequeathed to them", even as he noted that elder statesman, Chief Olu False can no longer visit his farms because of threats from Fulani militia terrorising his farm.

He stated that vices like robbery, kidnapping, abortions, homosexuality, considered abominable are now thriving in Nigeria, "due to the incoherent, corruption, and uncoordinated activities going on in the country".
