reports that over Three Hundred (300) School Owners and Teachers drawn from
Association for Formidable Education Development (AFED), Anambra state Chapter
have benefitted from a one day workshop on new teaching methodologies targeted
at stimulating the interest of children in Nigeria from Why Blue Sky
organization, Poland.

Director, Why Blue Sky, Poland and Children’s University Poland, Agata Willam
on arrival paid a courtesy visit to the Anambra state Commissioner for
Education, Prof Kate Azuka Omenugha , traditional ruler of Nibo, Awka South,
Igwe Michael Ngene, Ezeike Nibo and the Moderator of the Presbyter,
Presbyterian Church of Nigeria , Anambra, The Rt. Revd. Isaiah O. Ogbodo at
Onitsha.
The Polish Educationist
informed that about Six Hundred children were captured in one of the biggest
cities in Poland-Krakow with her Children University formed a year ago, hence
she decided to use her Why Blue Sky organization which is 10 years now to
partner organizations across the world to spread the good news of her Mobile teaching
experiments.
She said Nigeria has
become Why Blue Sky’s gateway to Africa through her partnership with
Association for Formidable Education Development (AFED), adding that her focus
is on teachers to make them unique for Nigeria’s Nigerian smart children with
her new ways of teaching modern smart children.
Willam said the work place has changed and
teachers must not only change but exemplary for the children they teach, even
as she thanked the state Controller of AFED, and Founder of Christ World
Crusader Church, Awka, Pastor Donald
Okorie for reaching out for the partnership.
‘’I am in Nigeria to
introduce new ways of teaching teachers and children because teacher
training/teacher education. I am proud that Nigerian teachers are eager to
learn’’.
In his remarks, the State
Controller of AFED/Founder, Christ World Crusader, Pastor Donald Okorie said
they were getting the skill upgrade almost at no cost when it takes about
N250,000 for the organization to upgrade a teacher with the new skills. He said
AFED is the best to happen to Anambra state as there is now hope for low income
families’ children. He said that AFED’s partnership with Why Blue Sky would
benefit every child hence Church schools are targeted for the spread of the new
teaching methodologies for smart children.
Pastor Donald informed
that many children are on scholarship in AFED schools and that soonest they
would embark on taking off the street school age children still hawking.
He reminded that Willam
won’t be 34 hours on air to Nigeria for a child’s play hence AFED needed every
support to make the partnership a worthwhile.
At the Education
Ministry, Prof Omenugha lauded the initiative insisting that teacher
training/teacher education remains the need of the state lauding the AFED for
their initiative to partner Why Blue Sky to improve themselves even as she
urged them to ensure the partnership is sustained.
Represented by Director
of Schools in the state, Dr Ray Offor , Omenugha said she is sure the partnership would be
beneficial to Anambra teachers.
At the palace of Ezeike
Nibo, Igwe Ngene, he was full of praises for the partnership between Anambra
teachers and Poland organization on new teaching methodologies, adding that a
trained teacher is a professional teacher.
Igwe Ezeike who taught
for 20 years , prayed that the partnership be sustained for the benefit of the
teachers.
In an interview, Secretary of AFED/Pastor
Bible Faith Gospel Center, Atani branch, Pastor Festus Kalu and Public Affairs
Commissioner of AFED/Founder Chisky International Model School, Awka, Dr Azodo
Joseph informed that AFED has championed the course of downtrodden in Anambra
state , praying that the needed support would be gotten to enable them stand
firm in South East.
Dr Azodo informed that
the workshop was apt and commended the attendees for making the visit of Willam
worthwhile.
Pastor Kalu on his part
insisted that the new methodologies should be embraced by Anambra teachers and
school owners for benefit of the children.
