Women Dignity Restoration and Relief Initiative (WDRRI) tasked on family by Governor Obiano

www.odogwublog.com reports that Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state has tasked members of Women Dignity Restoration and Relief Initiative (WDRRI) to as a matter of policy include championing and restoration of good family ethics in their agenda as a way of enthroning a better society.
Our reporter Belu Marycynthia Kosisochukwu who was at the event Obiano spoke during the 2017 fund raising for building of National Secretariat and award presentation ceremony organized by a Non-Governmental Organization, Women Dignity Restoration and Relief Initiative (WDRRI) in partnership with Stitching Mercy Organization Africa at Chicotel hotel Awka recently.
Obiano said if mothers commit and dedicate themselves to bringing up morally sound children with good family ethics , that the society would be a better place to live in hence his task to the over 2,000 members of the Women Dignity Restoration and Relief Initiative to embark on such sensitization. 
He said women should be committed and dedicated totally with training their children with love and care and not be distracted by mundane things as any mistakes in giving their children their best, would hunt them later when the children grow up and start tormenting her and the society.
The Anambra Governor was represented by the Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Dr (Mrs) Victoria Chikwelu. She equally represented the First Lady, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, Osodieme.
He encouraged women to be contented and helpful in any little way they could hence he commended the President and founder of Women Dignity Restoration and Relief Initiative (WDRRI), Mrs Adaeze Nwokoye and her partnering group Stitching Mercy Organization Africa led by its President and founder Mrs Doris Osuagwu for mobilizing their resources to assist others and champion societal growth which he said was rare among women.
In her address, the President and founder of Women Dignity Restoration and Relief Initiative (WDRRI), Mrs Adaeze Nwokoye thanked the Governor, wife and Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Dr (Mrs) Victoria Chikwelu for the support and prayed for more support to enable them champion their core obligations and others like his task on them.
Mrs Nwokoye listed their core mandate as food apostolate to stop immense hunger in the society , payment of school fees for pupils and students, empowering women in various skill acquisition trainings , less privileged and support to motherless babies among others.
She said the resources they used were mobilized by their over 2000 members across 29 states in Nigeria with Awka as headquarters. She added that the organization started since 2013 precisely on 18th November, and registered with Corporate Affairs Commission.

Contributing, the President and founder Stitching Mercy Organization Africa , Mrs Doris Osuagwu charged women to love themselves, use love , charity and kindness to change the society as it is easier for the children to emulate qualities exhibited by their parents particularly their mothers and exhibit same in the larger society thereby enthroning good virtues and diminishing abnormal behaviours for a better society. 
Chairman on the occasion, Sir Arch Okey Chukwuogo, Okofia n’Awka described the WDRRI founder, Mrs Adaeze Nwokoye as a positively active woman always striving to better the lots of women and children in society, urging women to see themselves as change agents and shade divisive tendencies unnecessary for better society.
Mother of the day and Awardee, Mrs Ogechukwu Nnadozie Iruoma, (Chimelueze) was excited over the award given to her and assured to continue to support WDRRI in its programmes.
In her vote of thanks, Dr (Mrs) Ogwuike Deborah thanked their guests for the support and encouragement and assured the core obligations and charges by the guests particularly the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano should be diligently pursued.
Members of the planning committee were President, Mrs Adaeze Nwokoye, Mrs Aguolu Chinyere, Dr (Mrs) Deborah Oguwike ,  Lady Ngozi Nnoruka, Mrs Ngozi Ude, Mrs Onyinye Umenweke , Mrs Kate Obi and Mrs Phina Okeke.
Those conferred with titles of the WDRRI were Mrs Doris Osuagwu as Ugo si Mba, Mrs Ifeoma Ananti as Ada di Ora Mma an Mrs Regina Nnonyelu as Nneora.
Those given awards of WDRRI were as well Mrs Doris Osuagwu, Ugo si Mba, Mrs Ogechukwu Nnadozie Iruoma, Chimeleze , Mrs Phina Okeke, I di ka Acholu, Mrs Kate Obi, Oyibo Kwesili, Lady Ngozi Nnoruka , Aru di ya, Lady Ethel Ekwenugo , Mrs Ngozi Ude, Mrs Chinwe Nwokocha , Oji nwayo eri aku, Mrs Ngozi Okonkwo Adannia, Stainless, Dr (Mrs) Deborah Ogwuwike , Mrs Eucharia Ezeokoye , Aka Ekpuchi Onwa, and Mrs Onyinye Umenweke.
The REIM Orange Global limited through its representative who would not wish to be mentioned pledged the company’s partnership with the NGO and announced a donation of a plot of land at the Economy plot in Achalla , Awka North to  the NGO , Women Dignity Restoration and Relief Initiative, (WDRRI).
Two vehicles were slated for winning among other things as well as loan to be distributed to indigents as empowerment to start up a business.
