Aroma, Awka was commissioned an aide of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state
and dedicated to God by the Vicar, Church of Holy Spirit, Awka , Rev Canon
Jason O.Z Onyeakagbusi.
Commissioning the outlet, Governor Obiano aide said
the establishment of the one stop shop for everything about fish and poultry
particularly feeds is a welcome development in line with his call for think
home investment philosophy code named ‘Akulueuno'.
Obiano whose Senior Special Assistant Fisheries, Emeka
Iloghalu spoke his mind said fish and poultry farmers problems have lessened by
the establishment of one stop shop for everything fish and poultry in the
state’s capital territory and lauded the Chairman/CEO , Prince Emeka Christian
Emeka and Managing Director, Princess Ngozi Emeka for thinking home with their
investment.
He said Oasis farms and Agro Services limited offer of
free consultancy services to its first clients/customers is a welcomed
development, urging them to spread the good news which is the major distributor
of Olam Company in the state.
He described agro business as a lucrative venture that
has placed food on the tables of many agro farmers in the state and beyond,
calling on others to key into the governors’ transformation agenda on
agriculture and agro businesses including fishery and poultry farming.
He charged farmers who are interested in fishery
business to be patient and learn the technicalities involved in the
business, stressing that a bag of fish feed that is well utilized can turn
around, farmers fortune.
“According to him, “Fish farming which includes the
fingerlings (juvenile) and table fish production is a money spinning venture
that requires commitment and patient and with Oasis farms and agro services now
with us, we now have that opportunity of making fortunes from the business.
This kind of gesture and think home philosophy of our governor is what Prince
Emeka Christian Emeka and his wife Princess Ngozi Emeka have heeded to and we
want others to emulate them” he urged.
He added further that fish farming/poultry farming is
a money spinner only when the investor is ready to plan before executing his
project, then practice patience, precision and right judgment based on his
project plans.
Managing Director of Oasis Farms and Agro Services
Limited, Princess Ngozi Emeka said the opening of the outlet in Awka was due to
lack of one stop shop to assist farmers perform better in the business and managerial
aspects of raising fish and poultry and getting quality feeds and good
consultancy services on modern developments in the fish and poultry sector of
Agricultural Entrepreneurship.
She said they have farms in Port Harcourt and Umueri
but could not find quality feeds for their fish and poultry hence the desire to
open the one stop shop, adding that sometimes they had to travel from Umueri
to Nnobi or elsewhere to get feeds.
Princes Ngozi further enjoined agro farmers and
intending farmers to patronize the farm, given their subsidized and moderate
rate of prices of the products, even as she enjoined the people to think
towards agriculture, describing it as the only sector that can boost the
economy of the state.

Limited, Prince Emeka Christian Emeka welcomed other farmers who wish to be sub
distributors of Olam Company products particularly fish and poultry feeds to
indicate interest to make the products closer to other farmers in the state
even as he announced free consultancy services for the first 10
customers/clients to the Lamb of God plaza Aroma junction, Awka.
Prince Emeka
said apart from the sales and distribution of animal feed, hybrid seedlings,
poultry accessories, veterinary services and drugs, sale of eggs and day old
chicks and fingerlings, the shop also shall provide mentorship and technical
services to fish and poultry farmers in the state.
Earlier, the representative of Olam Company, and the
Aquaculture Technical Executive for Anambra and Imo states, Mr Samuel Oloma
informed that Olam company is in 75 countries of the world and it has opened a
one stop shop through its major distributor/key agent --Oasis Farms and Agro
Services limited at Lamb of God plaza, Aroma junction in Awka to make its
services closer to the people.
Oloma said Olams company located in Ilorin , Kwara
state is in Nigeria to wipe out tears of farmers with quality feeds and other
services including pastries in the agriculture sector which are of high quality
and pocket friendly as the company does not compromise on standards and
quality. The Technical Service Executive said Olam company is the major distributor of
Blue Crown and Aqualis fish feeds; Chikun and Ultima poultry feeds, and
provides technical services to customers of Oasis farms and Agro services
limited as well as other customers, pointing out that the company supplies
2mm-9mm blue crown for fish feed and Chikun mash/Pellet for poultry feed in
large quantities.
He however pleaded with the Anambra state government
to help attract more business for the company from the state as the doors of
business are open for agro farmers.
The Vicar of Church of the Holy Spirit Awka, Reverend
Canon Jason O.Z Onyeakagbusi flanked by Reverend Simon Ohakwe while dedicating
the Oasis farms and Agro services limited Olams outlet at Aroma junction, Awka, prayed God to open His mercies and blessings upon the business to be prosperous.
Vice Chairman of Awka Chamber of Commerce, Dr Patrick
Nwangwu, Reverend Simon Ohakwe, Landlord of the Plaza/lawyer, Barr Bona Orakwe,
Onowu Ebenebe, Chief Jude Nwokolo were among the guests that attended the
