Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Honours Ifeanyi Ubah With The Award Of “Grand Commander”
The Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, Dr.
Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, was yesterday, at “Igbo Ezue 2017” decorated with
multiple awards by the Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo Lagos state branch.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo represents Igbos within and outside
Nigeria, even as it stands for peace and unity, promoting the Igbo language,
culture and integration of all Ndigbo.
However, presenting the Awards to Dr. Ubah, the former
leader, Igbo Market Association, Lagos state, Mr. Nnamdi Ndigwe (Odejinji)
stated that the award became imperative, in recognition and appreciation of
Ubah’s immense contributions and efforts towards the growth of Ndi-Igbo land
and Nigeria at large.
Mr Nnamdi, equally maintained that Dr. Ubah’s Capital Oil
and Gas, Authority Newspaper and other investments have continued to play
crucial role in areas of reducing job insecurity, promotion of Igbo’s image
among others.
Meanwhile, in his acceptance speech, Dr Ubah thanked the
organization for what they stand for.
He stressed the need for “everyone to identify with “Afa
Igbo Efuna Project” so that Ndi-Igbo would be liberated from bad governance and
policies which has continued to deny us our deserved growth and development in
Igbo land,” adding that Ndi-Igbo should continue to identify with Igbo language
and culture as they remain our symbols of identity.
