Igbos have been told to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 for a second term and get the next turn in 2023. The Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu CandIdo corroborated by Osita Okechukwu, Director General Voice of Nigeria has assured the Igbos that if they vote Buhari for second term and they will get theirs in 2023.This he said in Abuja yesterday while inaugurating the executives of the South East APC Forum at the APC State Secretariat, Abuja.
Candido told the Igbos that their inability to decide has been their pr in problem in politics and advised them to make up their minds to join APC and get the benefits therein.
He went further to explained that it was best for the Igbo to join President Buhari that just has four years after the first tenure so that they can get their turn rather than voting another person in another party that will do eight years and delay the Igbo in stepping into the Villa.
“Don’t vote the PDP, even if they present a Northern candidate as such a president will spend eight years from 2019 before the Igbo can get it; if you don’t vote Buhari, don’t blame anybody, any other Northern president in 2019 will not come, except Buhari.” Candido stated.
In his contribution, Osita Okechukwu, DG, VON assured the Igbo of good things ahead: Igbos will get ‘sweets’ very soon as President Buhari has promised.
He also assured that the APC will continue to protect all sections of the country, especially the South East as Port Harcourt – Enugu Road as well as the Second Niger Bridge has been billed for completion.
It was on that note that he assured again: “Please support President Buhari, we have enough cake to go round, when Buhari finishes his second tenure, Igbos will get it on equity. We will be the greatest beneficiaries of his second term if we support him.”
On his part, Lawrence Onuchukwu, Vice Chairman, AMAC was blunt and stated that it was not true that the APC government was sidelining the Igbo. “Those who say that Igbos are marginalised are jokers, we have plenty appointments in this government. The Igbo have accepted APC as their party,” he told the people.
Grand finale of the occasion was the inauguration of the executive members of the South East APC Forum, Abuja.
