Anambra indeed have proven their worth. They have unanimously shown that they cannot be pushed around.
The long awaited governorship election has come and gone and the Anambrarians have decided through credible and most peaceful election despite IPOB threat chose their leader. Many have described Obiano as the cat with nine lives, while some describe him as the man that knows the game. Congratulations Akpokuedike on your hallowed victory.
Unbeknownst to me that APGA will win the Anambra state governorship election. I remember telling my father who is a staunch APGA supporter that the fight is between APC and PDP and he will say" my son i don't need to argue with you, but quote me today APGA will win flawlessly" . It is quite obvious for people who kept saying that the Igbos don't have base. But this just concluded election have shown that if the Igbos unite properly and contest for presidency in our own party, i am very optimistic that we will win.
APGA for the past twelve years now and still counting have liberated Anambra State, unlike before the state was hijacked by few and everybody kept quiet because if you talk you will be sent to an early grave.
When APGA came to power with Peter Obi as his first candidate, Anambrarians felt a new form of governance, what i call grassroots governance. Big thanks to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu the Biafran warlord, Mr Peter Obi,(okwute nid igbo) who orchestrated a new form of government in Anambra state.
During the election something very unbelievable played out. As we all know the most easiest way to describe an Igbo man is "people that love money more than their brother ". On that faithful Saturday,18th November 2017, the case was different. All party agents were very flabbergasted at turnout of the number of votes by APGA. When the electorates walk in to the polling unit to cast their vote, then the party agents will approach them to buy their vote and he will they will no problem i will vote for your party at the end they will vote for APGA.
My father will always tell me the story of Nnamdi Azikiwe and he calls him the "beautiful bride" He will always tell me that the he is very sad concerning the kind of politics our young men do.He believed that the stronghold of democracy is opposition.
APGA is a regional party, but has done so much for ndi Anambra since inception . Anambra politics as result of APGA has changed from what i call political thuggery to something better. APGA is the party that even the oldest woman in my community knows the candidate name.
May i use this opportunity to congratulate Chief Wllie Mmaduabrochukwu Obiano for his re-election success but insists that the governor should make amends and try to be good to the people he met on his way up because he might still met them on his down. Lastly may i salute the number one citizen of Nigeria, His excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari for his deeper love for democracy. The Anambrarians are saying big thank to you sir for allowing a level playing ground for everybody to participate. Indeed sir you have proven millions of people wrong and added another record in your history. Restructuring presumably has began already because if federal government should stop interfering in the state affairs, it means the that the process have been initiated.
