Your Achievements, stop buying Endorsement – Ezeemo urges Obiano
Ezeemo
The governorship
candidate of the Progressive People’s Alliance (PPA) in the November 18 poll
in Anambra State, Mr. Godwin Ezeemo, has challenged Governor Willie Obiano to
show the people of the state his works in his near four years in office and
stop buying endorsements.
Ezeemo stated this in a
chat with journalists in Awka. He said, “As an incumbent, our governor can win
this election effortless if he can show to the people of the state what he has
been able to do in nearly four years he has ruled the state.
“But what we see the
governor do is to go about buying endorsements from everywhere. That’s not how
it is done. You can deceive some people for some sometime, but you can’t
deceive all the people all the time.
Ezeemo was reacting to
the alleged endorsement of Obiano by the old Aguata clan, where he (Ezeemo)
hails from.
He said that true Old
Aguata Union, OAU, made up of three local government areas, Aguata, Orumba
North and South of Anambra State, would not leave their own blood to endorse
another because their forefathers were known to be their brothers’ keeper where
one OAU member is hurts, it means the whole of OAU had been hurt. We cannot
because of bread and butter betrayal our blood or turn our back on each other;
we stand in our brotherhood.”
Ezeemo said that it was
heart tearing that a full blooded OAU member would sell one another for a piece
of meal; if anything like that ever happened in Old Aguata, it would be a shame
really; I am a full blooded OAU member; if truly Old Aguata called for a
genuine meeting, I should be in attendance. Our youths the future leaders,
should be there in their thousands not a selected few, so for me, it is null
and void exercise.
He said the incumbent
governor having come from Anambra North and served first term should make way
for the South to complete the tenure of Dr. Chinwueoke Mbadinuju.
