The State Executive Council took the decision after deliberating on the report and recommendations on administrative panel of inquiry into the crisis rocking the institution.
The delegation visited Sultan of Sokoto, Emirs of Gwandu, Katsina, and Daura, Sarki Zazzau, Etsu Nupe, Professor Ango Abdullahi, Alhaji Sani Zango Daura, as well as the leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, in Abuja.
Briefing newsmen in Makurdi shortly after the SEC meeting Thursday, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Mike Gusah, said the delegation was warmly received.
He said the council further approved that the committee should also visit relevant stakeholders in the North East on a similar mission.
Gusah said the Council also interacted with the focal person of the Social Investment Program of the Federal Government in the State, Engr. Terhide Utaan on the challenges in its implementations.
The challenges highlighted include, difficulty of food vendors in accessing funds, deductions and their distances to schools.
The meeting pledged to tackle the challenges already identified in order to correct them in the new school calendar.
The Council also approved the award of contract for the construction of the 36.5 kilometre Aliade – Mbakine – Obarike-Ito road at N2.4 billion subject to availability of funds in the budget.
It deliberated on the whitepaper on the sale and lease of government assets and gave its approval to all the recommendations.
He said the Council considered several cases of encroachment on government lands, especially in schools across the State and resolved to reclaim the lands.
