- The House of Representatives have called on the federal government to de-escalate military operations in the southeast region of the country.

- The lawmakers said the military operations in the region is unjustifiable.

- They also called for caution by federal government and security operatives in Abia state and the entire southeast zone.

Members of the House of Representatives have called on the federal government to de-escalate military operations in the southeast region of the country.

The lawmakers of Igbo extraction said the military operations in the region which has frightened, maimed or led to the loss of lives of citizens and property in the region is unjustifiable.

Noting that the current military operation in the region is an offence to the principle of democracy and rule of law, the lawmakers called for caution in Abia State and the entire south east zone.
