Anambra 2017: lawmaker mobilizes for Obaze

www.odogwublog.com reports that the lawmaker representing Nnewi North, South and Ekwusigo local government areas in the House of Representatives Hon Chris Azubogu yesterday mobilized stakeholders in the industrial town of Nnewi for the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) standard bearer in the November 18 guber polls.

The lawmaker while speaking during the interactive forum said that PDP with the caliber of its standard bearer and the running mate has every chances of making it to the Awka Government House.

Hon Azubogu noted that the PDP flag bearer who is a seasoned diplomat is no match for candidates presented by other political parties and that the job would be made easier for PDP because the incumbent has not done well.

He pointed that the Peoples Democratic Party is expected to be over all beneficiary of the zoning formulae put in place in Anambra state noting that since the party is committed to wrestling power from the All Progressives Congress in the 2019 general election, Anambra state must get it right now.

The lawmaker however stressed the need for every members of the party to prepare to work hard to win and win convincingly during the Anambra state governorship election.

"Nnewi has not benefitted anything from the incumbent governor, Chief Willie Obiano since he assumed office, the industries that make the town thick are closing shops because they are running on power generating sets at a time other states are coming the idea of independent power plant." He reasoned.

He said that the PDP faithful should be prepared to defend their votes during and after the election to prevent any form of sharp practice.

The running mate of Mr Oseloka Obase, Lady Chidi Alexander Ekwueme and other dignitaries featured at the meeting.
