MASSOB-IPOB
RIVALRY DEEPENS
As
the November 18 Anambra gubernatorial election draws near, battle of supremacy
is brewing between the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign
State of Biafra (MASSOB) and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) the two secessionist
movements in Nigeria, associated with Igbo nationalism that supports the
recreation of an independent state of Biafra.
Left
wing MASSOB is all bent on thwarting IPOB threat on the Anambra
gubernatorial election boycott. Information reaching Odogwublog.com indicates
that MASSOB has a point to prove to the right wing IPOB, aside been the first
secessionist movement, they still call the shot on the direction of Biafran
struggle.
On
its parts the IPOB going by its recent statement, that the election would not
hold in Anambra State, wants to prove a point to MASSOB that in this
dispensation they determines what happens to the Biafran struggle and that will
be settled with the Anambra governorship election boycott.
It
is Ralph Uwazurike against Nnamdi Kanu, the war has just began between MASSOB
and IPOB. Uwazurike sees Kanu-led IPOB as a set of hoodlums, while Kanu regards
Uwazurike’s MASSOB as a group of jesters. There is war in the land of Biafra.
How will this hostilities end.
