www.odogwublog.com reports that Mr Chukwudi Nonso Joshua, a student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University[NAU],Awka,Anambra state has won the Redeemed Church of God, grand prize of Five hundred thousand naira[N500,000],meant to encourage the spread of the gospel among youths and to encourage creativity in the church.
He excelled in the music
competition hosted at the regional Headquarters of the Redeemed
Christian Church of God, Region 6, RCCG, Enugu.as this year's edition
of the church's talent exhibition show known as SHIFT was held in Enugu.
Mr
Nonso Joshua emerged as the overall best among the twelve winners in
the competition which revolved in the categories of Music, Dance,
Creative Writing, Comedy and Public Speaking.
Auditions were held at main cities under the
region which include Awka, Abakaliki, Owerri and Enugu where a total of
130 youths indicated interest and participated at the various auditions
but only 29 made it to the grand finale.
.SHIFT is a talent exhibition powered by the National Young Adults and Youth Affairs(NYAYA) of the church to promote talents by giving youths a platform to showcase their talents.
Some of the cities in which the programme had been held with amazing results include; Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Dubai, Instabul, Johannesburg among others.
Enugu SHIFT became a reality this year as the maiden edition of SHIFT in the Southeast.
The exhibition had in attendance delegates from National headquarters of the church including Pastor Precious Akingbade, Pastor Dare Adeboye, Pastor Jacob Obaro, Pastor Fola Popoola and Pastor Lucky Onyemeosi.
Also at the event were the Pastor in Charge of Region 6, Pastor Nat Adejuwon, who was represented by Pastor Tony Curtis Ukagwu and Pastor Peter Akalamudo Pastor in Charge of Region 15.
Other dignitaries at the event include; Pastor Mrs Akalamudo, Pastor Sunny Otuokere, Pastor Akande, Pastor Kayode Emmanuel, Pastor Olaniyan, Apostle Emeka among others.
