www.odogwublog.com reports that three men were today paraded by the Imo State Police command  for kidnapping a Catholic Priest, Revd Fr Charles Nwachukwu for three days, just as a human skull was recovered.
Imo State Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in Owerri, the Imo State command.
Fr Nwachukwu was abducted by the kidnappers on June 16,2017, at Amauzari in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of the state at about 8pm on his way from Port Harcourt.
Ezike disclosed that the priest was rescued from a forest in Agbaja, Nwangele local government area, same community where the late dreaded robbery and kidnap kingpin, Henry Chibueze, popularly known as Vampire hailed from.
The suspects nabbed during the rescue are: Ogadinma Ajonuwma, 20 years; Chinedu Odoemenam, 24 years; and Uzoma Mejuru, 48 years; all male and hailed from Agbaja community, where the priest was held in captivity for the two days.
Meanwhile, a Toyota golden color Jeep, belonging to the Catholic Church priest was recovered by the police.
The Police boss explained that the priest had identified the suspects as his abductors, while the suspects have also made confessional statements of their involvement.
Ezike said "Rev Father Charles Nwachukwu was rescued unhurt. He was rescued on Sunday in a forest in Agbaja in the Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State. Three of the kidnappers were nabbed immediately".
Revd Fr Nwachukwu told odogwublog.com that his abductors had demanded N100million as a ransom for his release, an amount he said was beyond his reach.
According to him, the suspects collected his Automated Teller Machine card and withdrew about a half million Naira from one of his accounts used by a school.
One of the suspects, Odoemenam who confessed to the kidnap, said that he had involved in other kidnap, criminal and car snatching activities.
Meanwhile, a human skull was recovered from the shrine of a supposed native doctor in Umualulu in the Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of the state.
Ezike disclosed that 82 rounds of Ammunition, three AK 47 magazines, one locally made revolver pistol, one locally made single barrel short gun, two axes, one identity card, and photographs belonging to Njoku were recovered .
CP Ezike said the native doctor, Chidera Njoku, however fled before the arrival of the police.
Meanwhile, the mother of the suspect has been arrested and is helping the police to apprehend her son who is on the run .
