www.odogwublog.com reports exclusively that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC today said it is not yet done with the case of alleged misappropriation of the four hundred and fifty million naira, '2015 Presidential campaign funds' against the immediate past governor of Enugu state, Mr Sullivan Chime despite joining APC.
The funds were said to have been released by ex petroleum minister, Deziani Madueke, to front ex President Jonathan chances to win the presidential election.
The Head of Operations of the commission in the South East zone, Mr. Johnson Babalola, who briefed news men at Enugu Press Center yesterday, disclosed that ex governor Chime is still under the investigation of EFCC, describing the allegation by a former commissioner in the state, Rita Mba as baseless.

He disclosed that some commissioners that two commissioners accused along side with ex governor Chime have also not been dismissed from the case, stating the commission is taking time to conduct a thorough investigation on the matter.
His words, "Chime is still under investigation. Criminal cases don't have expiring date. The case is still not closed. Rita has the right to allege that we have compromised. I want to tell you that she too is still under investigation and I don't want to say more than that about the case'..
However, he described lack of funds as the major obstacle delaying quick conclusion of investigations in their onerous task of fighting;
"We are handicapped financially for the work because the people we are fighting are still the same people that will approve our funds," Babalola laments.
"The main thing in Nigeria is corruption and insecurity. The powers that be are against my oga. He has nothing in his cupboard and they cannot stop him from carrying out investigation'.
