IPOB rejects Kanu's bail conditions, says it was inhuman, childish

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra ( IPOB), has rejected the bail conditions given to its leader Nnamdi Kanu describing it as "inhuman, childish and stringent", the bail conditions granted to its leader Nnamdi Kanu by Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja High Court.
IPOB in a statement issued yesterday by its Media and Publicity Officer, Emma Powerful, however commended "those who put pressure on Nigerian Government and her judiciary to release our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who has been in detention illegally since October 2015."
IPOB frowned at the bail conditions accusing politicians afraid of Kanu's rising popularity of influencing the bail conditions to keep him perpetually behind the bar.
"The bail conditions which are most probably designed by politicians who are afraid of leaders popularity are too inhuman, childish and stringent.
"The oppressors are afraid of our leader's  popularity and they hope to cage him through this funny bail condition, we are not excited, we demand the release of our members detained alongside him."
IPOB vehemently rejected attachment of any conditions to Kanu's release, insisting that he should be released unconditionally.
"It is unacceptable to the entire members of IPOB worldwide that the presiding judge Hon. Justice Binta Nyako attached condition towards the release of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
"The Federal Government and their judiciary through justice Binta Nyako banned Mazi Nnamdi Kanu not to grant press interview, not to sit with more than 10 people or have any gathering.
However granting conditional release to our leader  is unacceptable to us because he committed no crime against humanity or Nigerian state."
IPOB also demanded the release of its other members detained along with Kanu.
"Again, Justice  Binta Nyako refused to grant Mazi Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Mazi Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi bail who has been detained with our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu since almost two years."
IPOB thanked members of the international community which had been mounting pressure on the Nigerian authorities for Kanu's release.
"We also thank the civilise Nations in United Nations, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, American Government, Israeli Government, Russian Government, European Union and others who prevail upon the Nigerian Government and her judiciary to grant our leader bail.
"We also want them to pressure on Nigerian Government and her judiciary to release other three members who are still in kuje prison Abuja".
