FRSC Mobile court books over 50 traffic defaulters




www.odogwublog.com reports that the federal road safety corps at MTI Owerri road Onitsha has booked over 50 persons on various traffic offences .

www.odogwublog.com observed the proceedings of the Mobil court were most of the detained culprits were arraigned.

Most of the offences they were charged includes the non compliance of the compulsory installation of speed limiting device as ordered by the cooperation management body and light inadequacy, other charges they were guilty of are failure to use the safety seat belt.

Fines were administered to the defaulter based on the gravity of crime they committed while some who failed to comply with the fines were handcuffed and detained for a period of time before their bailout.

In a chat with few defaulters whom spoke on the condition of anonymity claimed they do not have the knowledge of the newly introduced facilities while some professed that they do not know where to procure the device.

Speaking to journalist shortly after the mobile court hearings, the FRSC asst. Corps Marshall Oluwale Olaniran appealed to motorist and other heavy truck drivers to heed to the national obligations of installing the speed limiter for their safety and that of the general public.
