Rise Clinic remembers 150 widows of Nigerian police --approves Scholarship, Free Medical Treatment to Police Children

www.odogwublog.com reports that the widows of Nigerian police Force who died in active service in Anambra state were yesterday remembered by the management of RISE clinic Adazi –Ani, Anaocha local government area.
The widows numbering over one hundred were given twenty-five kg (25kg) of Anambra rice each and cash, aside free medical treatment from the clinic.

Speaking at the maiden edition of the annual programme at the clinic premises, the commissioner of police, Mr. Sam Okaula who expressed appreciation to the Chief Executive officer of the clinic, Dr. Emeka Okeke, for conceiving the idea, which he said, is the first time such a thing is happening.
Okaula thanked Godwin and Patricia Okeke foundation for providing the platform through which the gesture was achieved, even as he added that the move has spurred him and the entire police force in the country to put in their very best to ensure that no life or property of the citizens of the state is tampered with.

Speaking, the founders of Godwin and Patricia Okeke foundation, Sir Godwin Okeke and his wife Lady Patricia Okeke, said the move will further strengthen the security personnel as they work tirelessly to safeguard Ndi-Anambra.
                                                                                         
They commended Governor Willie Obiano for the exceptional work he is doing in the state both in security, agriculture, beautification of Awka capital territory and the all round development of the state,  Sir Godwin maintained that they will continue to partner the state and the police to sustain the security already put in place.

The CEO of RISE clinic, Dr Emeka Okeke,  underscored the importance of giving back to the people who lost their lives while protecting others, regretting that their widows are being neglected and left to wallow in hardship.
Dr Okeke added that such gesture would be provided to them and other indecent ones in Adazi -Ani every new year, and announced that they will from April this year,  give scholarships up to secondary level, to children of the widows especially those who scaled through in the exam that will be given to them.

He said that in addition,  the families of the widows are to assess any medical attention from the clinic free of charge,  while they and their children are free to travel to any Part of the country without cost on the company's vehicles.
Some of the widows, Mrs. Eunice Enendu, Mrs. Gift Ojeribe and Mrs. Chinenye Ochiliobi, expressed gratitude to the Godwin Okeke family whom they said, has been touching their lives positively,  and prayed for bountiful blessings upon them.
