Marketvoices.com.ng World Exclusive: Peoples Club of Nigeria sacks over 100 traders, businessmen, others from membership
----dissolves 3 branches abroad
----hunts for new Millionaires
Peoples Club of Nigeria International (PCNI) has announced the expulsion of over One hundred and three of its members Worldwide. Most of the sacked members were said to be traders and businessmen.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/National President of Peoples Club of Nigeria , Dr. Sir Joseph I. Ilonze and National Secretary ,Hon Elder Smart O. Ebere signed the expulsion mandate on behalf of Peoples Club of Nigeria/International.
Peoples Club also dissolved its branches in Princeton Junction, Chicago and Miami after accusing the branches to be guilty of gross misconduct and insubordination to the Club National leadership in contravention of the Club’s Constitution. Their Charter has been withdrawn.
The club as well established new branches after lifting the ban for establishment of new branches. That of Orlando branch was inaugurated but Detroit was denied a branch because the lift on ban is only for areas without any branch.
The club further resolved to embark on massive recruitment of young Millionaires and therefore would by December 2016 as its induction year induct many young millionaires. The new hopefuls were even granted 50percent cut off from its millions worth commitment to be a member.
‘’Consequently, it has been resolved that fifty percent (50%) rebate was granted to our sons wishing to join’’.
The club did not reveal if the sacked members were all only traders and business men with exception of few and did not further reveal the identities of those sacked and what they did.
Market Voices Exclusively gathered that at the said meeting that some One hundred and two members (102) of the Club who are still Billionaires and Millionaires gathered and sacked other 103 members probably for no longer belonging to the Millionaire cliché which people said is a criteria for membership of the elite club.
But some members anonymously said they were sacked for coming short of the club rules and regulations, though the club itself was quiet on why the expelled that large number of people in a swoop.
However , a statement obtained exclusively by Market Voices confirms the sack was during an Annual General meeting (AGM) of the club last December but made public yesterday after our correspondent inn Onitsha uncovered the tension among former members to still belong and campaign for new members among club circle. There was a Communiqué to that effect.
Part of the Communiqué obtained by our correspondent read in part: ‘’Peoples Club of Nigeria International has indeed come a very long way, with a membership strength of over 2,870, cutting across all important strata of society, from top entrepreneurs to world class professionals, from leading politicians to highly reputable traditional rulers.
‘’However, these calibres of membership converged at the National Headquarters “Onitsha Owerre road Onitsha , Anambra state from 17th to 20th December, 2015, for Annual General Meeting (AGM); to project and protect its interest.
There upon, the entire branch Chairmen, Secretaries and Delegates from Nigeria, Europe, Canada and USA converged at the National Headquarters Onitsha.

The club believes that it is cut out for service in line with club’s motto UNITY, LOVE and SERVICE. It claims it has exhibited its motto in Onitsha, Lagos, Abakaliki, Houston, Dallas, Austin and Atlanta among others by visiting destitute homes with cash donations, food and confectionaries.
The club believed further that organizing sports event for members is also worthy of mentioning as their contribution to sports development especially when in 2015; champions of the year emerged and trophies awarded to recipients.
And with the SSS levies, which serves the provision of funds given to dependants of a deceased member is up and doing in Welfare Scheme Insurance.
The club commends the re-organization of Peoples Club by the CEO, National President, Dr. Sir Joe Ilonze as he is too improving, and developing its services and Investments with the ultimate aim of taking it to the capital market, and urged him to evaluate the physical asset of the club.
The club laid a foundation for a Five Star Guest House with the traditional ruler of Oba, Idemmili South, HRM Igwe P. C. Ezenwa performing the ceremony.
Giving a hint on why the over hundred were sacked , the club said their track record of asking not what the Club can do for me, rather what we can together do for the Club and have an accommodating spirit and the spirit of give and take should be prime.
It said further that regard others as equals who are entitled to their own opinion and shunning egotism and imbibe the spirit of Unity, Love and Service should not be wanting. But the club did not give further reasons and every effort to contact the principal actors failed and even when one was contacted, he insisted he could not discuss it on phone.
