Remain committed to building bridges, Obi to Sultan

The former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar III on his 10th year on the throne, describing it as ten years of exemplary leadership.
In a release made available to the press, Obi, who said he had known the Sultan more than 30 years ago as a student of the University  of Nigeria, Nsukka, said the Sultan had  "remained an exemplary Nigerian and leader with a strong belief in tolerance, peaceful co-existence and purposeful national development."
Speaking on him further, Obi continued : "You are a worthy role model for those in positions of authority and your continued commitment to building bridges across several divides is worthy of emulation as an invaluable ingredient for building a better, peaceful and greater Nigeria."
Praying for his future endeavour,  the former Governor concluded : "As you go into the next decade of your purposeful and inspiring leadership, we wish you Allah’s continued guidance and protection."
