NSCDS rescues pregnant teenager from committing suicide in Abia

 
www.odogwublog.com reports that but for the timely intervention of a personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps ( NSCDS), a pregnant teenager, simply identified as Deborah would have committed suicide in Umuahia.

According to NSCDC, the  18 year- old pregnant teenager was rescued from a forest in Ossah Mission Hill, Umuahia while trying to hang herself following frustrations of life.

NSCDC Commandant, Walter Akubiro, the teenager was sighted by NSCDC personnel attached to the presiding pastor of the Heavenly Assembly church located at Ossah while trying to take her live and promptly rescued her.

He said the girl hails from Ariaria in Osisioma Local Government Area of the State.

According to the NSCDC boss,  the girl during interrogation, revealed that he became frustrated in life was following the abandonment by her mother after her father's death.

Akubuiro said that the girl said her mother abandoned her and her two siblings and remarried after her father died in 2013.

  The girl was said to have ran to a boy in Aba who had promised to marry her only to eject her after she was discovered to be pregnant.

" She took in for her boy friend in the course of their living together but was denied and pushed out of the house by the boy friend", the NSCDC boss said.

He said that the frustrated teenager resorted to roaming in the street in search of food but decided to kill herself following increasing hardship.

The NSCDC boss appealed to parents to give adequate care to their children especially the girls to save them from falling prey to irresponsible men on the street.
