IPOB salutes former NSA for turning down FG permission to attend father's burial

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) has saluted the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki(Rtd) for turning down the offer of Federal Government to go and visit his father at his hospital bed before he died and the subsequent offer by Federal Government to allowed him go for his funeral from detention, saying that it was a senseless and wicked offer, made by wicked people.

IPOB in a statement signed by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Mr. Emma Powerful, a copy of which was made available to Authority described the offers “as mockery to Col. Dasuki, his relations, family members and an insult to his late father and former Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki,” wondering why any reasonable person will be making such an offered to somebody that has been granted bail and is still being detained because of stubbornness of a government.

IPOB statement entitled, “Col Cambo Dasuki rejection of Federal Government offers, acceptable to every reasonable person”, said that “if the people who offered Col. Dasuki the permission to go and see his father in the hospital before the man died, and another offer to go for his funerals from detention, have respect for the late former Sultan of Sokoto, and what he represented, Col. Sambo would still not be in detention, while the father was hospitalized, they would have allowed his bail which the court has granted, but in their stubbornness they continued to hold him only to come up with those wicked and mockery offers.”

“Col. Dasuki will continue to earn our respect for refusing those offers, and we will continue to hail his patience while in detention, we urge him to take heart and accept the death of his father who died at ripe age of 93 as the wish of God, but we want to remind the people holding you that they have created an unforgivable and unforgettable enmity, with Dasuki family for still holding you, while your father was buried.”

“It is a well know practice in Nigeria and Africa in general, that you will kill a man or a woman and still be the first to write beautiful tribute about the person and even play prominent role in his burial. We see the opposite of what has been written by people who are holding Col. Dasuki, from what they have in mind about his late father and former Sultan of Sokoto, the former Sultan in spirit,  if there is such  thing, know that they did not mean what they have beautifully written about him, that they are mocking his children.”

“Col Dasuki is a man that has been granted bail by different courts, but is still being detained like our leader Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, and somebody, somewhere is pretending to be giving him any favour by asking that he be allowed to go and see his father in the hospital and mourn him in death and come back to prison, as if the prison is his house, Col Dasuki would have made himself an object of mockery if he accepted the offer, but as a man full of respect for himself, he declined the offer.”
