Manchester city boss, Pep Guardiola is reportedly plotting a shock move for highly rated Southampton Defender, Van Dijk s a direct replacement for injury plagued Vincent Kompany.

The Belgian defender suffered yet another injury set back last weekend as he picked up a knee injury in the win against Crystal palace as his fitness nightmares continues.
