Enugu Assembly raises alarm over rot in ESUT hospital


The Enugu state House of Assembly had  yesterday expressed deep concern over the poor medical services being rendered at the teaching hospital of Enugu state University Teaching Hospital[ESUT], Known as Park lane general hospital. Te speaker of the house, Hon. Edward Ubosi, while speaking on behalf of his colleagues, said that they were not satisfied with what was happening at the hospital where patients die due to lack of care, water, electricity and the necessary equipment needed to save lives.

Piqued over the situation, the House has set up a six man committee that would look into the allegations of shabby services at the hospital. The committee which is headed by Hon. Anthony Ogidi, House committee chairman on water resources,and member representing Igbo-Eze North Constituency, has two weeks with which to report back to the House on their findings.
