BUHARI ORDERS CONTRACTORS TO COMMENCE WORK ON SULEJA-MINNA ROAD

Following repeated outcries over the deplorable state of Federal Roads in Niger state, President Mohammadu Buhari has ordered contractors handling the reconstruction of the Suleja Minna Road, to return to site with immediate effect. Specifically, the president directed that the construction of the road, which initially was to terminate a few kilometers after Gurara water falls, should be extended to Minna, the state capital, and that both sections of the road should be dualized.

The foreign construction handling the project went out of site immediately after the 2015 general elections in the country for fear that the political situation in the country would turn scary. The state commissioner for works, Alhaji Abdulmalik Cheche disclosed this while addressing newsmen in the state after the executive council meeting.

"The cheering news i have for you is that the president Mohammadu Buhari has directed the contrctors handling the projects to as a matter of urgency return to sites and ensure that the projects are completed and commissioned even in record time" the highly elated Abdulmalik Cheche said ith a smile.w
