Unizik Vice Chancellor commissions Faculty of Arts ultra modern building ----commends outgoing Dean, Prof Obiefuna and challenged Dean Elect Prof Tricia Utoh-Ezeajugh

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Vice Chancellor Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka , Prof Joseph Ahaneku this afternoon formerly opened the main entrance to the faculty of Arts Ultra modern 3 storey building classroom blocks and offices.
The three storey building is housing 10 departments with well ventilated offices in the three floors with Thearter Arts halls. The building was built with internally generated revenue of the University.
Prof Ahaneku praised the Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof Boniface Obiefuna for the neatness of the complex and the family like attitude among the members of the faculty. He commended the faculty for peacefully electing the Prof Tracie Utoh-Ezeajugh as the new dean of the Faculty.
The outgoing Dean , Rev Fr Prof Boniface Obiefuna lauded his colleagues for the tremendous support they gave him throughout his term of office and the solidarity and wished the Dean Elect, Prof Tracie Utoh-Ezeajugh well.

Obiefuna who is a council member of NIPR appealed for engagement of Graduate Assistants as the faculty has no graduate assistants sequel to its policy of encouraging and empowering them to upgrade themselves.
The Dean Elect and HOD Theater and Film studies Prof Tracie Utoh-Ezeajugh thanked his colleagues for the trust and confidence reposed on her and pledged not to disappoint the expectations.
Meanwhile , the Vice Chancellor ,Prof Ahaneku had earlier in the week temporary commissioned the ultra modern studio built and donate to the Mass Communication department of Unizik by Prof Stella Chinyere Okunna , the HOD.
Prof Okunna was Ex Governor Peter Obi’s Economic Planning and Budget Commissioner and Chief of Staff, after taking charge temporarily at Information, Culture and Tourism.
Prof Ahaneku praised Okunna’s selfless disposition as her act was rare in the university setting.
Okunna who is the first HOD of the Department and currently still the HOD , said it was her way of giving back to the Institution after several decades of setting some excellent records.
