Tension in Anambra state APGA , as Sir Norbert Obi others risk suspension this night , Oye , others suspended

State Chairman of The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) , Sir Norbert Obi and few others may be suspended this night as a meeting is about to start to deliberate his suspension.
Already, there is tension at the headquarters of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) opposite government House Awka  as they converged for a meeting after the National Chairman Sir Victor Oye was suspended for taking too numerous ‘’Chieftaincy titles’’ ET C .
Governor Willie Obiano of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) may cut short his trip allegedly to Ghana and return home to resolve issues bothering the suspension of the APGA National Chairman , Chief Victor Oye yesterday evening even as he has called the former National Chairman of APGA Sir Victor Umeh to wade in and rescue the situation.
Our source said , Umeh was called yesterday evening for intervention even as at press time 10 pm , the state working committee is heading to a meeting where it is likely the state Chairman , Sir Norbert Obi may be suspended too.
A member of the state Executive council said the meeting is already generating tension but hopes many would survive the hurricane about to happen.

APGA APGA suspends national chairman


This is coming as the National Working Committee of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Thursday suspended its national Chairman, Mr. Victor Ike Oye for gross misconduct.

Rising from its monthly meeting in Abuja, the NWC told the media that the suspension of the national Chairman was in line with the provisions of the party’s constitution, following what it called immense constitutional breaches and inordinate practices of the chairman and other national officers.


Speaking on behalf of the NWC, the deputy national secretary of the party, Chief Jerry Obasi said the suspension was necessary in order to save the party from impending destruction and reposition it to greatness, given the circumstances surrounding the party under the leadership of the suspended chairman. Among those also suspended by the NWC include: the deputy national chairman (North), Alh. Abubakar Adamu and deputy national chairman (South), Chief Uchenna Okogbuo, who were also indicted for several constitutional breaches. Some of the allegation levelled against them include: not involving NWC in making electoral regulations to given nomination/selection of candidates and not involving NWC in day to day running of the party, which violates article 12 (3) of the party’s constitution among others.
