www.odogwublog.com reports that the National Convention Committee of PRP has set up a caretaker committee to oversee and plan for the election of a substantive executive to man the affairs of the party in Anambra state.
The National Convention Chairman of PRP, Engr Patrick Akindulu, while addressing party faithful at the information and sensitization sharing meeting held at Awka the state capital, urged party faithful in Anambra state to brace up towards the challenge of winning the gubernatorial election which he said is just by the corner.
He stressed that PRP is a party that was been founded on the principle of rule of law, credibility and love for the welfare of the people and as such Nigerians expect five star performance and accountability from the leadership.
Engr Akindulu maintained that Alhaji the national chairman of PRP Alhaji Balarabe Musa is passionate about giving only credible men and women opportunity to lead the party so that they can make the needed positive change in governance, as it is time for Nigeria to elect their leaders who should serve them.
He was however elated at the positive response of party faithful towards supporting the party in Anambra state and asked them not to relent in their zeal to enthrone the party in the state even as he called on them to support the newly constituted caretaker committee to achieve positive results.
In his remarks, Hon. Aninwachukwu N. Mathias, the Chairman caretaker committee of PRP in Anambra state thanked the National Convention Committee for their efforts so far, and promised to steer the ship of the party towards successful elections in the state.
He thanked Prince Chijoke Mbanefo (Eze Egwu) for his support and called on party faithful from the 21 local government areas of the state to support him to achieve the needed results for the party in the state.
Members of the caretaker committee as constituted are: Hon. Aninwachukwu N. Mathias- Chairman, Ben Ezeh- Secretary, Mrs. Ify Anierobi- Treasurer, Echezona Okafor- Publicity Secretary, Precious E. Madu- Woman leader. The committee has three weeks to perform its assignment as the state congress of PRP is expected to hold on the 9th of November.
