Irate youths burn three alive for kidnapping new born in Imo

Irate youths yesterday in Ezeluokwe in Umunna town, Onuimo local government area of Imo burnt alive three young men for allegedly stealing a new born baby boy from their community.
The three youths who were in their 20s, had allegedly collected the baby boy from his mother forcefully but met their waterloo after youths from the community were alerted through the woman's screams.
The three youths who had no form of identification on them had stormed the community to kidnap a new born baby for unknown reasons.
A source told The Authority Daily "we were suddenly jolted by the screams of the young mother's demanding for her baby and within the twinkle of an eye, youths gathered and luckily apprehended the three kidnappers".
The source who pleaded annonymity said "just two weeks ago, a woman lost her new baby under questionable circumstance and we all are still praying for the survival of the woman, only for this to happen, it was too much to bear".
According to him, the youths took the action to ward off further invasion of their community by kidnappers, who may be considering Ezeluokwe community as a new haven for abducting babies.
Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Andrew Enwerem (DSP) confirmed the incident but said the details was still sketchy.
Meanwhile, as at press time, the corpses were yet to be removed and are still lying on the Okigwe-Owerri expressway.
