2017 loading: Obaze Urges Oko Polytechnic Students to aspire to be employers not employees

www.odogwublog.com reports that in captivating motivational speech titled, "If Our Reach Does Not Exceed Our Grasp, Then What Is Heaven For? Obaze thrilled students of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra state.

Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze, MD/CEO Selonnes Consult Ltd. told students of the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Atani Campus during their Intellectual Day, on Monday 17, October, 2016, to reach for the stars and their preordained destinies.

He catalogued a list of internationally recognized inventors from Anambra state and Nigeria, whom he said were better, appreciated outside Nigeria and told the student to strive to be like them.

He urged the student to aspire to be employers not employees upon graduation.

On the state of the nation, Obaze said:  "Today, politics dominate our sphere. So everyone wants to be a politician; and as such you have the good, the bad and the ugly.

Government is near omnipotent and is seen as the sole employer of labour. That should not be.  Government’s role is to govern, ensure law and order, regulate, and create the enabling environment for individual and private investors to do business, employ labour and create wealth.

Primary in this role is Government’s building and maintenance of public infrastructure.

However, great and successful nations have never been built by governments, but by individuals and groups, who have big dreams, who understand the place of the entrepreneur in national development and know that by seizing the moment and the make a different. "
