'Referendum or not Biafra must be' IPOB replies Buhari, says it's hypocrisy for Buhari to support Palestine and oppose Biafra

www.odogwublog.com reports the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra ( IPOB), has told President Muhammadu Buhari that " whether a referendum or no referendum" Biafra must be restored as a sovereign state.

IPOB which made the assertion in a press statement yesterday was responding to a comment credited to Buhari during his recent trip to the US that actualisation of  Biafra  was not feasible.

According to IPOB, it is a contradiction for Buhari to tactfully support the creation of Palestinian State from Israel and vehemently oppose the independence of Biafra from Nigeria.

This is as the Movement for the Actualisation of the Soverign State of Biafra ( MASSOB) has said that referendum for Biafra would commence in the first quarter of 2017.

"The Biafra referendum which Buhari can not stop will commence in the first quarter of 2017", MASSOB leader, Uchenna Madu said in a separate statement.

IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary Emma Powerful in his statement said that the President's speech confirmed that the growing agitation for  Biafra had become his nightmare.

"It happened during the colonial masters in Nigeria but they later succumb to the pressures", IPOB said.

Continuing, IPOB said, :" The statement proves that the president is jittery over the popularity of Biafra internationally and he cannot stop it because Biafra is the will of the people in the whole south south and south east of Nigeria.

"IPOB members and Biafrans worldwide are not deterred concerning the statement made by Buhari because Biafra has come to stay whether referendum or not."

IPOB expressed surprise at Buhari's continued support for Palestine and avowed opposition to the agitation for  Biafra.

Similarly, the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State has said that it had dawned on  Buhari that he could no longer stop the move to restore Biafra, hence the statement.

MASSOB said: "It has dawned on president Buhari that the universal clamour for Biafra referendum to determine the choice of the people of Biafra between his Nigeria and Biafra have reached greater height of momentum which he can't deny.

"For Buhari to center his first official statement on Biafra after returning back to Nigeria is a complete emotional sign of jittery, frustration and fear that  Biafrans are leaving Nigeria. Out of jealousy".

"President Buhari's latest comment on Biafra further proved his jittery, confusion & inability to quench the fire of determination and consciousness of Biafra.

"The United Nation has already announced that Nigeria is deeply divided on ethnic and religious lines.

"The just concluded United Nation General Assembly which Buhari attended have dawned it on him that Biafra actualization and restoration to independent and full statehood can no longer be ignored, the world leaders have shown their sympathies for the oppressive and subjective economic policies of Buhari led Nigeria government against the industrious and creative people of Biafra.                          

"  The Oriental, Asian and Western world are seriously in support of Biafra because 60% of their economic growths are been propelled by the industrious people of Biafra."
